Job Description: Life Skills Program Facilitator

About the Program

Triton Consulting NYC, in partnership with LevelUP in NYC, is launching a weekly Life Skills Workshop Series at Flushing High School for the 2025–2026 school year. The program equips students with practical tools for college & career readiness, financial literacy, social-emotional learning (SEL), and stress management.

Position Overview

The Facilitator will lead interactive, engaging workshops for high school students during their lunch periods. Each Monday, the facilitator will deliver the same 30-minute session across 5 different groups (Periods 3–7), reaching up to 20 students per session.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role ideal for someone with a passion for youth development, teaching, or counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate weekly workshops on life skills topics such as:

    • Career & college readiness (applications, resumes, interviews)

    • Financial literacy (budgeting, saving, decision-making)

    • Social awareness & conflict resolution

    • Stress management & self-regulation

    • Entrepreneurship & future planning

  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Adapt and personalize curriculum materials to meet student needs.

  • Track attendance and gather student feedback after each session.

  • Participate in monthly check-ins with Triton Consulting leadership to review progress.

  • Contribute to program evaluation by completing facilitator reports and reflecting on student growth.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience working with high school students in education, youth development, or counseling.

  • Strong facilitation and group management skills.

  • Ability to deliver interactive, activity-based learning.

  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness.

Preferred:

  • Background in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with SEL frameworks and trauma-informed practices.

  • Experience in financial literacy, career readiness, or entrepreneurship education.

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages common in Queens) a plus.
